Road Closure -Willow Drove

The City of Peterborough Willow Drove Peterborough, Temporary Prohibition of
Through Traffic Order 2024
Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven
days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Willow
Drove, as lies between Thorney Road, Newborough and no 4 Willow Drove.
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being
executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order.
The proposed order will come into force on the 08/01/2024 and will continue until the
remedial works in the carriageway have been completed or until the 07/01/2025, whichever
is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.
It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 08/01/2024 and the
10/01/2024.

Remembrance Sunday

A huge well done and thank you to John Rowell for his time and efforts putting in place the large poppies and fallen soldier, helping us show our respect for Remembrance Day and those who have given their lives for us over the many years.

A short service will take place at Newborough Cenotaph on Sunday to remember the fallen.

Road Closure, Bainton Road, Newborough

Road closure information

Anglian Water will temporarily close the following road during the below dates/times:
Bainton Road, Newborough, Peterborough.
Just after the turning South from Werrington Bridge Road.
Date and time:
From 07.00 on 6 November 2023 until 18:00 on 17 November 2023

Please bear in mind that this road will only be fully closed for approximately two days, at all other times the road will be open for access. Due to the adverse weather conditions, we require a two-week window for preparation works, but cannot specify the exact date of the required closure ahead of time.
As we plan our roadworks in advance, we schedule extra days to allow for delays beyond our control. In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

Free Defibrillator Training available to all residents

There will be free training to all residents outlining how to correctly  use the village defibrillators on:-

Saturday 20th January 2024 in the Village Hall, Guntons Road, for a 1:15pm start.
