Parish Council Community Update

There has been lots going on recently, and the Parish Council would like to offer an update to you all regarding a few things which have been happening in the village.

The Parish Council recently engaged with the Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline alliance group who offered volunteers, advice and seeds for wildflower planting at various locations around the village. We are very much looking forward to enjoying the bright colours and wildlife that these flowers will attract moving into Springtime of next year. Areas for planting included:

The area surrounding the base of the village sign at the newly named Crown Garden

Fernie Close park

The community allotment (Peterborough Road)

The raised beds at the rear of the cemetery.

Thank you to all involved!!

New gates have just been installed at the entry way to Fernie Close Park which look very smart and also offer increased security.

The Parish Council have now erected their annual Christmas tree at Crown Garden for all the community to enjoy.

The local school, pre-school, WI and GNS volunteer group will be making some laminated tree decorations to add to the tree for some personal festive touches. If you would like to get involved, please contact Irene the Clerk for further information.
